Judgment of Compliance

Rationale for Judgment of Compliance

There are a variety of sources through which Athens State University makes the publication of policies available to students and other constituents of the University.

The academic calendar is available electronically on the Athens State University website homepage and electronically in the student handbook. This handbook is also available in hard copy at several locations on campus, including, but not limited to, the Admissions Office and the Campus Information Center.

Additionally, faculty members, each student's academic advisor, college secretaries, and counselors in each college's advising center provide any student the information needed to access the academic calendar, either in an online format or a printed hard copy.

The grading policies of Athens State University are stated in the University's catalog. Specific topics addressed include a discussion of grades A, B, C, D, F, W, and I; quality points awarded for each grade; and the process of grade review.

Athens State University's various refund policies are stated in the university's catalog. Refund policies are also stated in the schedule for each term.
